spec me - desktop £500

hi all could someone please spec me a machine for £500, including monitor flat panel preferably. not really a games machine so no monster graphics cards please. i wont be overclocking so im trying to get the most for my money. got a few ideas myself but looking for others opinions.

been looking at these pentium dual cores socket 775's does that mean that mean i can put it in ANY socket 775 motherboard? been looking at a bare bones setup and i quote - 'Support Socket 775 for Intel Prescott CPU' could i put a dual core in there?????

No, you can't put them in any 775 mobo. They only work with certain chipsets, I think they are the 945, 955 and 975. You will have to check the spec of the mobo to see which chipset it uses.

P4 dual core will only work on a Shuttle XPC SD31P (£317.19 Including VAT)
All other shuttles on ocuk don't support dual core pentium 4's.
