thanks in advance

i will also be using the monitors for video editing and photoshop.

sum1 must be able to help me surly?

You're going to want monitors with multiple inputs so that you can switch between sources. Have you considered going for a 20" screen instead of a 22" as AFAIK all 22" screens use TN panels. These don't provide very good viewing angles and are generally lower quality than the better panels you can get in 20" screens.

Something like the Belinea 102035W might fit your bill perfectly. It's a 20" screen with good viewing angles and colour reproduction due to its MVA panel. It also has multiple inputs (VGA and DVI). If you want Dual DVI inputs then you'll have to spend a bit more to get a panel with this, i'm not even sure if there are any 20/22" screens with this. It can be had for £228 if you search google. For some reason OcUK don't stock it anymore.

i was thinking of the DELL SP2208WFP

pc > monitor 1 & 2 via DVI

PS3 > monitor 1 via HDMI

360 > monitor 2 via HDMI

would that work?

I don't see why not. I have a Dell 2007WFP and if that's anything to go by then changing input sources should be as simple as pressing the switch source button. Should work like a charm.

You might want to remove that link though, competitors aren't allowed.

I'm pretty sure dell do VA panels in 22" flavours, as well as samsung doing 22" S-ips panels?

That's how i'd have worked it... can have any 2 on at the same time then.

I'd be tempted to go to local cash converters (or similar) or visit a popular online auction site and look for a cheap AV Receiver with HDMI. Could then plug PS3 and 360 via HDMI into receiver and then on connection to the secondary monitor. Meaning you don't have the faff of having to fiddle without your desktop if you want to use PC and either device (since one of them in that suggested setup is going to have to be connected to your primary monitor)

Also getting an AV reciever would be an excuse to get some speakers :) If you dont have a hifi seperates system already anyway :)

Just as an alternative suggestion:

May be worth going for a 24" monitor as the primary monitor (allowing you to enjoy 1080p) for about £300-350 and then £100 for a cheapo 20" to use as a 2nd monitor for apps and to keep tabs on the pc whilst gaming.

i have speakers (JVC TH-L1) and a headset (ASTRO A40's) and what you say about having a a HDMI switcher to the second moniter is a good idea i'll look into that

what 24" monitors have a DVI and a HDMI connection then??

i would do that but i want my setup to look symmetrical im stupidly picky :S

Also have to spend a bit more than £100 for get a 20" monitor with 2 inputs or more, than factor in shipping etc. Might as well go all the way and get something with HDMI :)

Good luck, whatever you do it's gonna be a nice setup :)
