Even though I use every drug under the sun I still get blocked noses from Hay fever, and the vest immediate help is a menthol sweet.

I've been using Extra Strong Halls, but they aren't actually that strong. What other uber strong menthol sweets or lozenges are there? Preferably something that won't also stink the room out :p.

Fishermens friends menthol?

If your are bunged up, get some Otrivine nasal spray, vile stuff but works wonders and long lasting

I've got some nasal sprays. Menthol is good for when I'm already maxed up on doses.

I'll try some Fisherman's Friends, but from memory they were more throat orientated.

Check your local pharmacy. I remember getting lozenges from mine (name alludes me now) but they were brilliant for clearing my blocked nose up - very very potent. Just ordinary over the counter jobbies and not overly expensive either.

Olbas Oil, pour a tiny amount on to a tissue/handkerchief and inhale through it or rub some in to your moustache directly under your nose if you have one (A moustache, not a nose, although you will also need a nose or it won't work even if you do have a moustache...). Although they've more than likely watered it right down nowadays to stop people suing them! :D

Get some menthol crystals from the pharmacy, crush a little in a bowl of hot water and all the snot will melt out of your face.

Not much use when your out and about though admittedly.

Lozenges? Seriously guys this is not the 1950's anymore, nasal sprays containing Oxymetazoline or Xylometazoline such as Sudafed, will clear a blocked nose in about 3 minutes and lasts for about 8 hours, and there is no smell or taste to them.
