It's been suggest that I wear compression socks, so I duly went and got some from Amazon, where they all seemed much of a muchness, but they keep sliding down because they're not tall enough to top my calves (me being on the very tall side). So, which compression socks should I get?

You can tell the OCUK community is a bit older than it was 25 years ago when compression socks are a subject :p (mind you I've asked about things like a fall alarm....)

Erm not much help but possibly look to see if there are some "sport" type socks that act like compression socks? I know a lot of the time if you look for a specific medically termed item you might find the options limited, but if you look for something that is the same but sold to say the sporting market it can end up being available in more options and often cheaper (it always feels like anything marketed at the disabled or for health gets a massive mark up).
A google suggests that sports compression socks go to at least XXL.

Possibly look at thigh length ones?

I have these sealz socks , waterproof super warm but go right over my calf , they don't move down and have a sort of comforting pressure

HJ Hall ? just bought some of their long walking boot socks ... but they do daily long socks too ...
my main criteria is wool, if we lived somewhere hot then cotton socks might work.

Im 6foot6 and wear jobst for men compression socks. XL size 15.5/eu51
Im on my feet 8h a day at work and they are godly.
They cost a small fortune in Sweden so I expect they are a rip off in the UK.

I've tried tens of pairs of cheaper from Amazon and other retailers and simply nothing compares.

If you find a good sock in the UK or EU, let me know.... Lol

Excellent - I'm only slightly smaller.

£40 a pair for the lightest grade! But ordered nonetheless.
