200 Budget strict just need the PC tower. No need for OS/Mouse/Keyboard/Monitor/Software.


What he needs:

. Decent integrated graphics to be able to play films at 1080 (Amd best here?)
. 300GB+HDD
. 4GB Ram
. Maybe DVD drive ( can "borrow" one from work if really needed)

What he wants to do:
. Play some very old school games.
. play hd movies.
. Microsoft office
. internet browsing.

About as cheap as I can get it without it sucking.

AMD Trinity does prefer the fastest RAM you can give it, but the 8GB 1600MHz kit is on offer today.

+1 to that build. Only way to make it cheaper is using a Pentium / Celeron with a H61 but then you lose out on the decent IGP.

With that sort of budget i think your going to be better off looking for something second hand. probably something based around the amd liano apu.

I could cannibalise a DVD Drive and PSU from our old machines at work I guess which would bring it into budget.
