Spec me For Lightroom

Hi have a 3 year old
duel core intel 2.3
4 gig ram ddr2800
Geforce 8800 (card not aplicable as Lightroom does not use GPU)

Question is after getting a 1440p monitor my system that always stuggled with LR3 is now a pig (I run 2 monitors the other a 1050p) which I now have to turn of as CPU cannot perform.

What spec would you reccomend on a resonable budget to get performance out of Lightroom.

Looking at Chip, Mobo & Memory and possibly a SSD drive.

What difference does it make what case he has now? He wants a new computer to run lightroom.

You said a reasonable budget, you will need to be a little more accurate with that as "reasonable" to some people isn't the same to others.
 
the case matters because of diff mobo sizes, he states hes looking for cpu, mobo, memory and ssd, thats why i ask. Its only a question anyway.

Case is a X clio 380 huge thing with 2 x 240 fans

PSU not an issue as had to recently replace.

Just want an update to system which would normally be a new graphics card but as I have said LR3 dont use the GPU and no longer a game player after 20+ years as my last game was BF2.

Personally hate my case but want to update for hopefully sub £500
