Spec me for new york new year

Morning all, off to new york on 27th until the 8th jan, now i have a 70d with a few lenses and not sure if i should take it or not!.

So i need 2 quotes

1. Insurance so i can take my camera just incase it gets stolen / broken
2. A compact camera that will still take great images up to £400.

i do not mind either tbh, i know the dslr will be clunky and it will be massively busy in times square on new year. but i want the best options i can

1. Check your home insurance provider to see if they can do additional cover, otherwise Photoguard are alright.
2. RX100 MK3 would do the job, currently down to just over 500 quid but you can claim £150 cashback. Alternatively, see if you can pick up a Panasonic G7 with lens if you want an interchangeable lens system.
