Was looking at Avermedia Live Gamer with its pretty big red button, but unbelievably it forces your resolution to a max of 1920x1080 which makes my monitor (1920x1200) look all fuzzy and out of focus. Bummer 
So down the software route it is. Any recommendations? Lots of people seem to have a love or hate relationship with fraps, so what you using and do you recommend it?
