Spec me Gaming Rig £600

Hi guys long time reader first time posting but it has been way to long since i upgraded my PC and as there are a lot of games coming out this month and in the new year as well as black ops so im wanting to go for an upgrade.

Only looking for new GFX Card, CPU + Fan, Ram (6gb) and motherboard as i have all the other bits needed.

on the CPU front i have been looking at the 3.20 ghz AMD Phenom II so some opinions on that would be very useful but i am open to a differnt CPU.

6GB of ram is for Intel i7 systems where they have a triple channel memory controller, for AMD Phenom or Intel i5 systems you need dual channel memory kits in either 4 or 8GB.

Just a suggestion, others might be able to come up with something better. This would be 8gb as well if you definitely needed more than 4gb

Thanks for all the suggestions i will defintly be taking these into consideration, after reading stulid's post i saw that i missed out a PSU in my list so any suggestions on that would be much appreciated. so far it looks like the gtx 470 + I5 route is looking the best way to go so a PSU to go with that would be ideal.

are you ever wanting to add a second GTX470? or will it be just single powerful GPU only? then a quality 550w-650w PSU from the likes of Antec/Corsair/XFX will be ample.

I doubt i will ever want to add a second GTX470 tbh, with the specs listed above im confident they will run all of the games i want to play on the highest settings or close enough. also i wont be buying this till the end of the month so mabey that PUS will be back in stock by then. Thanks for all the advice guys
