Hi guys,

I'm after a pair of headphones for work. I'd like some good quality ones for under £25 if possible. I'd like this style of headphone:

The type I don't want are: earphones/plugs, and DJ type headphones (big ear muff type ones).

I've been looking at the Razer Protone M250's but they seem to have mixed reviews.

So if you could advise me on the best set to get within that spec please? :)

Great, thanks for the info lowrider. I've had a look at the PMX100's they seem well spoken of but they don't look like they are good quality on the first look (design etc). Do you have any other suggestions?

Personally I like the retro-ness, but that's just me. :o

The Porta Pros haven't been re-designed in 20 years and they're still up there with the best portable headphones. Pretty crazy really when you look at how the rest of technology has moved on.

The Sennheiser PX100s are another alternative, less bassy though in my experience.
Am I right in believing that these Porta Pro's are just the same but re-designed?

Thanks for all the input guys, I'll have to have a think which I'd prefer. On a side note - if my workstation I'm use on a daily basis at work has a better soundcard will I benefit from this through headphones? I use onboard at the moment.

Ok, I've ordered some Siennheiser PMX-100's. There are some encouraging reviews on the web for these against what you guys have said too so this should be a good buy :) Thanks again.

Bit disappointed really they have only just been despatched, but thats free delivery for you lol. So I should recieve them beginning of next week!

Thanks for recommending them matey, you were definately right. I've shown a few people too and they were impressed - shame you don't get comission ;)

Only had em a month or two and I walked in from work this evening and found the puppy had ripped the box to shreds that I usually keep them in, they were on the floor also. I was furious! I've just tested them and they are still working.

The PMX200 are closed whereas the PMX100 aren't fully closed and I use them for work so I need to be able to hear my phone and I anyone who called me in the office. I'm not sure how they compare though in sound quality!
