Spec Me - High Performance Gaming Headset

Ok guys i've had to sell my Xfi-Fatal1ty due to me going to a lot of lan's and needing a onboard usb sound card! so what would you guys recommend me?

i currently have the original steelsound 5h but this uses 3.5mm jack's connected to my XF-i

i've been looking at :
-sennheiser pc166usb
-sennheiser pc165usb
-steelsound 5h v2 usb

what would people recommend?

sennheiser headphones, not headset, and desktop mic.

You go to a lot of LANs? What the hell did you sell your xfi?

I also can't understand the need to sell the X-Fi because of going to Lan parties. What difference does it make? You would have better audio than on board in my opinion.

Yeah I go to a lot of LANs so I'll sell my 8800GTX and use onboard.

the lan's i go to i we have to use their computers it's not BYOC. i would mention a major lan that my team are going to but it's sponsored by a competitor! should we win which we are more than likely to we will then have full sponsorship by this competitor and need to change our team name!

so sennheiser headphones and a desktop mic aren't really applicable, this is the reason i need to get a headset that is straight plug and play!

i'm also looking at the Plantronics Gamecom Pro1 any further thoughts guys?
