Thanks

p.s a graphics card isn't needed and if savings could be made that would be great!

What are you actually going to be using it for mate?

I'm surprised nobody else nobody else has asked, it's normally quite key in choosing components :)

It for a mate he doing a music technology degree, he has got a 8800 GT at the moment but will upgrade that when is needed as currently not playing game

The case is a must and psu needs to be able to support GPU in near future so thinking 600W too be safe

Hey lynchy6789,

depending what final build set of components you go with the power draw of the system will probably be "a lot" lower than you imagine! :D

The AMD® Athlon™ II X4 above with an nVidia 8800GT will be hard pressed to exceed about 280watts full load! . . . I've had a few similar combos running using Antec Earthwatts 380w for ages with zero issues! ;)

By all means do what you think is best but 600 watts is ridiculous unless your planning to install some Crossfired Radeon HD 5870's :p
