Colleague at work is looking for a laptop to be used for typical browsing ie Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, betting sites.
Football Manager and maybe FIFA, mainly going to be used for a couple of online IT courses he want to do over the next couple of years. Want a laptop which will last for a long time and with good performance ie 8GB ram, 750GB hard drive or something along those lines. Too many budget laptops seem to encounter problems early on judging by reviews, so he's prepared to pay high-end as long as it lasts for a few years!
Budget is £1000.
