Spec Me: Mobo/CPU/Mem + advice!

Hi folks,

I'm looking to upgrade my mobo/CPU/memory but I am wondering if it would be worth waiting for the new 45nm processors coming in the near future. I am currently running an X2 4400+ on an Asus A8N with 1.5GB of GeiL Value memory; this is my 18 month upgrade (so the next upgrade, after this upcoming one, will be in 18 months). Worth waiting? If so, how long will the wait be?

For specs please follow the money guidelines:

CPU: £200, intel ofc.
Mobo: £150
Memory: No real money limit, don't need more than 2GB, told DDR3 isn't worth it(?).

EDIT: Ugh, forgot to mention I don't intend to overclock.
