Spec me mobo + RAM for a Q9550 plz!

OK after a considerable amount of time trying to pick a CPU, i've decided on a Q9550 - trying to decide on the mobo + RAM is doing my head in, so i thought i'd ask for your opinions!

Preferably i want 8GB of RAM (does this mean i'm going to have to sacrifice speed if im going to be able to afford that amount?)

Not too interested in overclocking really.

As for the mobo, performance+stability is most important (well duh!)

haha anyway, grateful for any input.

[Oh and confirmation that waiting for, and FORKING OUT, for the QX9770 would be retarded - would be appreciated ] lol

what windows will you be using? and 8gb of ram is a complete overkill

XP for most things, switching over to Vista (ew) only when needed (so.. to play DX10 games really - and that's about it).

Think i should just stick to 4GB?

I reckon you could spend a lot less on the CPU for pretty much the same performance. I am particularly struggiling to see the benefit in the q9550. An extra 130 quid for what will be, at most, an extra 250fsb. I think the value in the yorkdales will be the q9450 if prices drifts toward 200, otherwise you may aswell pick up a q6600 for 140ish.
