Spec me modest(ish) video and photoshop machine

Hi y'all,

Long time no post. Sorry about that but I'm hoping you fine fellows might still see your way to helping me out.

Someone has asked me to build them a new PC for photoshop and possibly video editing.

I don't have a lot to go on but...

Budget about £400 but if someone wants to go to £450 and explain why it's a s*itload better do please go for it!

Don't need OS or screen.

Other considerations: smaller and quieter the better but not at the cost of a tonne of performance - has to last a good few years for a casual user.

8GB RAM + 1TB HDD

A extremely high quality PSU, just add a discrete graphics card to actually create very fast gaming PC if also wanted.
 
Sounds pretty nice...

My concern is the case is quite large and if a discrete graphics card isn't neccessary perhaps going down the mATX and small quite case is the way forward.

Also I've heard about the sandybridge on chip GPU but is this really all that is neccessary for video and medium heavy photoshopping?

Hmm, I had the previous version of that coolermaster at one point same demensions and I know the person I'm building for thought it was too big...

The fractal looks quite nice but I'm probably talking another order of 'smallness' all together... to a HTPC but small small. If that is possible without killing performance too much.
