Hi Guys,

Always been a casual voyeur of these forums, but never had a need to post.
My PC is having some hardware issues and it's well over due an upgrade anyways.

I've only built up from barebones before, but I've not seen anything that grabs me just yet so fancy the challenge of building my own first PC. For that reason i'm after something nice and simple to construct.

I don't need a keyboard/mouse/monitor/speakers/OS at the moment.

But I have a real limited budget, I'd rather stay as low as possible, yet am after something I can Adobe products such as Premier/After Effects on. Whilst also using it for casual gaming and similar.

Thanks a heap!

You'd have to sacrifice something to get a decent GPU in the budget such as,

This spec gives you an idea of what you can get, but bare in mind the weekly deals change tomorrow morning. So best to check back then for a new spec :)

Why thank you!

I casually try a little bit of APB/League of Legends/whatever mates recommend me trying for the occassional boring afternoon off.

That's a sweet start, thank you!
I already have a DVD RW and a 500 gb HDD (unless I could put 2 in at once with this set up?)
I have heard mixed reviews regarding the ivy bridge? Any reason for concern/preference over a sandy bride.

*Edit*

I'm also in need of a new gfx card. Would i need to source a sound card/similar?

I built a ivy bridge system yesterday, using the processor beejjacobs recommended. It runs at around 28-32 idle with a cheapy CPU cooler so heat is not a issue when running on stock. I think its most certainly worth grabbing the ivy bridge over a sandy. Performance is slightly better too.

As for the sound you can use the sound which is integrated on the motherboard:)

Sounds very interesting indeed, thank you.

Will just have to inspect the funds, bad times...

*EDIT*
Got a techy mate that recommended I keep the Graphics Card ( Nvidia GTS250) I have at the moment, to save on the pennies, and later upgrade it. But recommends I buy one of the following Rams for a bit of longevity, and maybe take it up to 16gb if I ever require it.

Any preferences/what would work best with my 250gts/future cards. (sorry I didn't learn how to fancy link the items)

Going to order some bits today, thanks again for help.

Before I do anyone got any clues on the RAM situation. I'm possibly thinking the last link.
