Hey - I'm with BT and for the longest time they've offered 1Tb of cloud storage FOC for their customers. They are stopping this as of September, so I need to sort out an alternative.

I currently have the BT Cloud app mirror the documents folders on my NAS I want remotely backed up. This happens without any intervention from me. If I add to the NAS drive, it gets automatically added to the cloud backup. It's primarily for pics, vids and documents.

I'm after a solution that does this as seamlessly as possible. 1Tb should be enough - what would you recommend?

Cheers :)

OneDrive is superb imo. You can purchase a Office365 sub and get 1TB of space to boot. The app itself is solid and not intrusive or nag heavy like almost every other MS product.

My NAS backs up to my 1TB of space weekly and I use it to hold documents, photos and everyday rubbish I need to access across different devices.

Dropbox, One Drive and Google Drive are all really good, I use Google Drive as I have an Android phone so I can use it for Google Photos.

If you use an iPhone or iPad it's probably worth going with iCloud.

I use Dropbox Plus with hyperbackup on Synology. I keep looking for alternatives but Dropbox keeps popping up as a 40-50% cashbback offer on Amex around the time of renewal so I stick with it. Works out about £50-60 per year
