Spec me - New keyboard

Hi Guys - I've recently upgraded my Pc and as much as I am comfy with my basic little fijitsu keyboard I have a hankering for something a little more upmarket

I'm not going to jump to mechanical just yet - there a little steep for me price wise.

So for about £40-50 what sort of keyboard should I look for?

Ideally I'd like something gameing like so I can map some keys to world of tanks / streaming hot keys etc. I'd also like something that I can see in the dark so back light or the like if poss.

And not wireless at all - wired only please.

And is it worth getting on of the gaming surfaces for my desk?

Gaming surface, as in the big XXL mats that OCUK do?
HELL YES!!!!

Keyboards... You can probably find the older gen Logitech ones fairly cheap these days. I have the G19, myself. Not sure what the newer one has over the last, but the old one is all-black with 12 macro keys, 3 profiles and bags of features, including your choice of backlight colours.

Roccat also pretty good. Not quite meeting all my requirements, butI LOVE their styling!!
