Ditching the prebuilt route and doing it myself

Am I missing anything here? it's for Office PCS running Win7332bit Pro. Usual office work alongside some 3rd party software. No hardcore stuff.

Personal view is that I would ditch the DVD drive (unless really needed - can always build one machine off an external drive then ghost the rest, or do them all from external drive), and go for 4GB RAM over 2GB. Windows 7 will be painfully slow with only 2GB, and the cost increase is negligible.

I would also look at going the AMD APU route. Should work out lots cheaper.

YOUR BASKET
1 x AMD A6-5400K Black Edition 3.60GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Dual Core Processor (AD540KOKHJBOX) £47.99
1 x Asus A55BM-E AMD A55 Chipset (Socket FM2+) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £37.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (ST500DM002) HDD £35.99
1 x TeamGroup Elite 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TED34GM1600HC11DC01) £32.99
1 x OcUK Value Imp MicroATX Tower Case (500w PSU) £31.99
1 x Pioneer 24x Internal DVR-221LBK DVD Rewriter - OEM £14.99

Waste of money, plus you'll need a GPU of some description.

Get the cheapest APU, it's more than capable enough to run Windows + Office.

My proposed build was £180 + the SSD or HDD, whatever you choose, and will use the (very capable) on-chip GPU.

This has a better PSU. Don't really trust cheap PSUs.
