Hey guys, looking to put together a gaming pc for a work colleague.

I've already got the build in mind but I just wanted some expert opinion from you guys.

1000 of the Queen's finest pound coins to play with.

Just need the case and the contents inside it, nothing else required.

I didn't include an SSD for the sole purpose that the intended recipient doesn't really mind if a game/os takes slightly longer to load.

i7-K. CrossFire-ready. Small SSD for OS/programs (does make a difference) even if he doesn't need the games on it (I agree with that for the most part). Nicer case. 4GB GPU. And bling bling.

Well in fairness it's not for me, it's for a friend and her small son hasn't specifically complained about lengthy boot times. Plus as he grows and starts a paper round he can buy his own SSD

you don't really need to spend that much for a decent gaming system

Has she got a retail operating system (presume they need Windows) that can be used? If not she needs an OS as well.
