This board needs a graphics card. That 5570 you got?

Ok, so about to hit the buy button. ive read a couple of reviews about the Asus P8P67 LE Intel P67, which have said its a pretty poor over-clocker.

so with the above spec in mind

would changing the MB to the Asus P8P67 Intel P67 work out better in the long run?

cheers

Its an low-average overclocker, if 4.5Ghz is what you want, then it will do it.

If your referring to the £124 ASUS board? then these are cheaper and good,

was going by this review (re the LE) http://itshootout.com/r-353/asus-p8p67-le-motherboard-review/p/3/

which stated it wouldnt get past 4ghz, happy to stretch the budget a bit if i can get an extra year or so out of it.

will have a look at the boards youve mentioned.

btw, would these boards still be compatable with the Ram you put in the spec?

tia

Yes they are still compatible.

The MSI boards also benefit from OCgenie "one touch 4.2GHZ" overclocking (button to press on the board) and they both do SLI/Crossfire at an equal 8X/8X, the two ASUS boards mentioned in this thread only mange 16X/4X.

right here goes

i maybe should add that this will all be running with a corsair 620w PSU an old 8800ultra and a couple of HDDs
