i have about 450 pound +/- £25 to spend and i dont need a monitor or mouse and keyboard currently have a antec 900 and a corsair 520w. i mainly use the computer for gaming and using photoshop and cinema 4d for college work and i would like to overclock but its not essential.

First question, do you want a new case? I would stick with the 900 if I was you, will save you cash. You can also clean it out and make it all shiny when you replace all the components. Also if the corsair 520w is still reliable as it should be then go with that. Otherwise nice spec above, if you leave out the case and PSU and save that money you could easily stretch to getting an 8800gt instead as well.

This is with a very overclockable dual rather than the quad. It's got a better graphics card though.

I'd go for something like that if you can find an extra £5. :)

Edit: You could swap the RAM I've speced for the stuff which melbourne720 and BillytheImpaler have mentioned to knock a few more quid off.
