Spec Me Please

Hi there people. First Post, woot !

Basically i was wondering if anybody had the time or patience to spec me a new machine? I could put the thing together, but know pretty much nothing about which components to choose

Anyways, ill put down the requirements should anybody want to have a go.

1. The system will be used mainly for gaming such as Counterstrike Source and maybe some newer games.
2. I've got some VHS Tapes i would like to transfer onto the computer to burn to DVD
3. Only the tower needs specifying
4. Possibly a case with the see through side panels, unless it will affect the quality of the system
5. No prefernce to Intel or AMD, Nvidia or ATI biased, just whichever will do the job the best
6. Budget: £800ish

Well to get you started and point you in the right direction..

I would advise you to go for a decent board, Something like an Asus, Gigabyte or Abit.

CPU wise, the best currently available is the Intel Core 2 Duo's. The e6300's and e6400's are best value for money and if you overclock - Even better!

To go with that you'll some DDR2 RAM - All the brands that OCUK sell are pretty decent. Crucial, Geil or OCZ you won't go wrong.

As i was saying though, i could do with help from anybody interested to specify a full tower. I would try but its all jibberish to me

Once again, i appreciate any help you guys offer as student loan has been applied for and would be a shame not to put to good use , cheers
