hi all. got around 700 to spend. not after any peripherals, just the main unit. im after as much performance as i can squeeze out of my 700 (will be using it for mainly video editing and gaming) without any overheating issues which ive been having with my current rig lately.

thanks hp7909, nice spec. i dont particularly need a dvd drive though because already have some and dont need such a big hd either, prob dont need one at all actually, already have 320gb lying around. only thing i was particularly after was a 512mb graphics card, you think you could squeeze this in to the budget if you got rid of the 2 componenets i mentioned.im so far behind with this stuff i wouldnt have a clue where to start.
thanks guys

What resolution do you play at? Unless it is above 1280x1024 you probably don't need a 512mb graphics card, however if you lose the hard drive and the optical drive you free up about £75 which means you can easily get a 512mb graphics card, I'd probably pick the OcUK MSI GeForce 7900 GTO SILENT 512MB.
