Spec me please

I'm looking for a pc spec for a gaming rig for a budget of £1000. I'm looking for just a system tower, as I have a monitor, keyboard, a x-fi soundcard, headset and gaming mouse + mouse pad. I plan on getting a conroe cpu and 2 gig ram. I intend on buying a mid ranged gfx card now (7600GT) and waiting till there is a real need for a 8800GTX or equivelent DX10 card to upgrade, allthough if people suggest it might be worth going for the 8800 now, I'd take that under advisement. SLI on the mobo would be nice, but is not essential. As it will be the first pc I will be building, I don't intend in overclocking it too much. The games it would be used for at the moment would be CoD2 and I'd be looking at getting the maximum fps out of the machine (333 constant on dx7). Also delivery would be to the Republic of Ireland if you could factor that into the shipping costs.

Hehe, well something that didn't sound like a jumbo jet engine would be nice, but the system i have now is quite noisy anyway,so noise isn't the #1 concern.

The PC will be in my bedroom.

Wow, thanks for the effort you put into the spec.

Just two questions on the Cpu.

(a) Is an aftermarket cooler definitely need on the conroe. How load are the cpus on stock cooling?

(b) Is the 2mb extra cache on the E6600 worth paying the money over the E6300?
