hey guys. looking to spend around £1000. going to be using for a little gaming, mainly multi tasking and video editing etc. basically, built my own pc 2years ago on a friends spec and he recommended a 754 socket and agp gxc, so having to change everything now as my processor is playing up. so what im really looking for is as much futureproofing as possible and obviously going to be running vista on it when thats out. dont need optical drives or hardrives, or any peripherals. also, may be relevant that im using a 32inch hd lcd as my main monitor. other thing is, i could possibly keep the psu from current rig, its a tagan 480w and maybe the case, an asus coolermaster but if any of those 2 might hinder the other components than dont worry about keeping them in the spec

thanks guys

my other concern is to do with the fact that im keeping my case. as mentioned, its an asus coolermaster. worried about everything fitting in it and also, this is my first pc build, so not sure about the mobo and case compatibility. is there anything i need to be aware of or looking for or will it be fine
