Okay, so after all the heartbreaks I've had with the HIS AGP graphics cards I guess im back to square one.
Im getting a full refund for it and its going to go towards a new computer and though I have a rough idea of what I want but I need some help choosing the bits.
Im going to uni in September so i want a machine that will last me through the 3 years of that with as little upgrading as possible. Im going to be doing a game development course so i need something powerful and that could be easily upgraded when needed. It needs to be powerful but also run smoothly with lots of programs open etc so it needs a lot of memory. It will be used for gaming though and thats where the difficulty come in because of the graphics card. I guess I do need DX10 but im not a fan of nVidia
Im also a big fan of AMD over Intel for numerous reasons. I need a lot of space aswell, so a big case and quite a few PCI slots for a couple of things.
My budget is about £600-£700 really, though I will most likely buy things in installments in correlation to my payday
I have a very decent power supply so Im okay for that.
Really appreciate all your help.
Martin
