This thread is repeted HERE , but thought General Hardware was a better place to post.

Looking to update my system. I need the following:

Motherboard -- (not looking to overclock, not looking to hve 2 graphic cards, 3 pci slots would be nice but not essentual)
CPU -- Was looking at the Athlon 6000+ but it seem the Intel are better, so no real preferences
Heatsink -- any recomendations?
RAM -- Unfortunatly my current OCR isnt DDR2 and needs updating, 4gb is a bit ott so 2cb of qulity ram will do.
Graphic Card -- no prefference

I also like a quite system so a OEM CPU would be good as i will be looking at replacing my Thermalright XP-120.

looking to spend a fair bit as i build to be as future proff as possible, so anywhere between £500 and £700

Agreed, the BFGR8800 GTS 640MB seems a better bet as Im not a hard core gamer.

What PSU are arround today? Could do with one with detatachable modules. What Wattage?
 
Think I'll go for the GTS 640 as i like it to be future proff

As i saved on the Graphic card, would the following cpu pair nicely with the recomended Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3P (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.67GHz (1066FSB) - Retail
