It's main intended use is for 3D animation and video editing.

Anything I should change to optimise it for that?

perhaps consider an 8800gt for the graphics

if it was me i would invest in a rendering specific gpu like a firegl or a quaddro even though they are expensive - depends on what scale you want to work at

why not look at 2nd hand 8800gtx? might be worth it for around £80

ram is overkill unless you are doing some mad overclocks
i would get this if i were you

psu is massive overkill
why not look at a corsair - around 500w should be MORE than adequate

also i think that a p5q / p5q pro / maybe p5qe motherboard would be more than enough

i dont think that the CPU you posted up has any real advantage for the intended use over the q6600 - save some cash - any q6600 can reach 3ghz EASY 333mhz X9 multiplier and you are away!

then spend all the money you saved on a rendering gpu
