1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £67.99
1 x Corsair Builder Series CX 430w Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020058-UK) £39.98
1 x Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX) £39.95

1 x Xigmatek Asgard Pro Gaming Case - Black £32.99
1 x Thermalright True Spirit 120 REV A (BW) Performance CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £24.98
1 x OcUK 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £18.98
Total : £453.97 (includes shipping : £11.75).

Mobo is B grade but a bargain for what it offers you (SataIII, USB3 and overclocking options for the i5K), you might need to get some sata cables though. No OS but you can download the Windows 8 Enterprise (evaluation) Edition for free. Rock that for 3 months to try before you buy and then you can make an informed decision wether to get windows 7 or 8 ;)

That Looks Like a good package there :)

OK so i cant find a forum to place this in so could somebody PLEASE just do me a favor and let me know what id be able to run on this http://www.brighthouse.co.uk/computing/acer-desktop-7-computer/ me and the missus are on a bit of a budget (baby on the way) and i need a new comp so yeah could ya just give me an idea of what I'd be able to run on this machine. thanks guys

Hi , you would be able to run most normal games on low settings with that if your on about gaming however if software then thats a different matter:)

Thanks @ThattechGuy yeah I was on about gaming. do you know what id be able to put in there to up the ante a little ? such as what cards I would be able to use.

Well it depends as most high end graphics cards are quite expensive , not ideal with a baby on the way and also require seperate power so i think maybe a card like an Asus Radeon 5450 or an Asus Gt640 might be the way to go in terms of upping the graphics performance and you might want to get another 4GB stick of ram to enable you to run several things at one and once you get things you need for games ect installed they run things in the background which will max out that 4GB of ram in no time . :)

Please don't link to competitors it's against forum rules.

If you need a spec done start a thread with a budget and what you need and we shall do our best to balance it out. If you are on a tight budget then sourcing some things 2nd hand can be the way forward. A 2nd hand GPU like Nvidias 1GB 460 or AMDs 6850 actually perform better than the latest generation GPUs until you hit the likes of the 2GB 7850

Easily done fella. No harm no foul and all that jazz. There are plenty of decent speccers on the forum but unfortunately some people do suggest rubbish. Always best to do your own homework and read reviews etc but you'll often see similar specs so you can tell what you should be aiming for.

Sounds like you might want to look at AMDs FM2 socket (Trinity), Youtube it I think you will be quite surprised by the performance available.
