I'd like a gaming machine (bf3, cod, maybe crysis/skyrim). My budget is around £700 including os, no monitor or keyboard and mouse included. BUT i'd like it in a bitfenix prodigy, much appreciated:). I'd also like the msi HD 7950 twin frozr. If not, atleast a 7870. Thanks!

Nice! Although i'd like a better gpu, probably push me up to £800 but i'm not to fussy, also I won't be needing an after-market cooler! Many thanks!

Give the windows 8 Enterprise (evaluation) Edition a go for free on a 3 month trial. Gives you more cash for components now and you can make an informed decision over what OS to buy later ;)

With OS. This 7870XT is closely related to the 7950, OC it and you net 7950 performance.

Hope this helps, look forward to seeing what you settle on in the end :)

Thankyou! Will be sure to post how it goes:)

But if I went amd I could put the money saved into something else?

The spec's you've been given are perfect. If you went AMD, you would be sacrificing performance as they are not as efficient as the Intel chips. They run hotter and single core performance is worse.

Hono has given you some great advise, that's all you need right there. If you went AMD, you would wish you'd gone Intel and there would be nothing else I would change to Hono's apart from the motherboard if you are looking to overclock.

I have the 7870XT sapphire card in my system and it is a nice card, although i bought mine when it was on offer at £191. I think it is a bit overpriced now though as you can get a 7950 for £24 more.

Ive just come from AMD to the i5 3570k and i get more FPS and bang for my buck still using the same gpu from my amd compso id say stick with the intel builds :)
