Well the PC is actually for my son and to be honest I dont wanna spend too much...and I do have a case , KB, Mouse, Monitor , ....So I'm guessing I would need a motherboard , CPU , Sound Card and so on...he tells me he would not need any special connections

Just got back and see the above i5 4690k build. Imo this is where you should be looking, with the gpu it's a good all round setup that should last a while.

Depends on how much more or less than your budget in mind it is. A cheaper route is amd but then your upgrade options are limited but not impossible.
