Hi all,
I've been dragging an old Sonata (12 years?) + Seasonic S12 650w (10 years?) and a i5 2500k rig for some time. The thing runs ok as I've always updated the graphic card (now a 970 gtx).
It's dated now and I'd like to move to a watercooled i7 with a more recent case.
I'd like:
i7 6700k
Asus Z170 PRO Gaming
Corsair Vengeance (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 2400 Mhz
Does it really matter to get a watercooling kit from the same brand as the case? I'd like a Corsair case and an Antec watercooling kit (they're cheap)
Here's what I consider for the watercooling:
Antec: (are they OK?)
H1200 Kuhler 240mm
H600 Kuhler 120mm
Corsair:
Hydro H60 V2
Hydro H80i GT (maybe a bit large)
Here's what I consider for the cases (I'll need to put a 980ti in there):
Corsair:
Carbide 400C
Obsidian 450D (my favourite, but really large)
Antec
P100 (will that fit a 980ti?)
NZXT
Source 340 (would fit in my current desk - but is it good enough knowing that I kept my last case for about 12 years? )
Looking forward to reading your advice
