Hi all,

I've been dragging an old Sonata (12 years?) + Seasonic S12 650w (10 years?) and a i5 2500k rig for some time. The thing runs ok as I've always updated the graphic card (now a 970 gtx).

It's dated now and I'd like to move to a watercooled i7 with a more recent case.

I'd like:
i7 6700k
Asus Z170 PRO Gaming
Corsair Vengeance (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 2400 Mhz

Does it really matter to get a watercooling kit from the same brand as the case? I'd like a Corsair case and an Antec watercooling kit (they're cheap)

Here's what I consider for the watercooling:

Antec: (are they OK?)
H1200 Kuhler 240mm
H600 Kuhler 120mm

Corsair:
Hydro H60 V2
Hydro H80i GT (maybe a bit large)

Here's what I consider for the cases (I'll need to put a 980ti in there):

Corsair:
Carbide 400C
Obsidian 450D (my favourite, but really large)

Antec
P100 (will that fit a 980ti?)

NZXT
Source 340 (would fit in my current desk - but is it good enough knowing that I kept my last case for about 12 years? )

Looking forward to reading your advice

No, just check for radiator size compatibility.

H1200 is a great price and backed by 5 year warranty. Antec rep is also lively on these forums in case you need assistance. Corsair rep is too, to be fair. Just the price consideration.

I've only had my hands on the 450D and it really isn't that large. Felt quite small compared to some other cases. It's a mid-tower, not a full tower or an ultra tower. Airflow is great, the best among your picks in this respect I'd imagine, only complaint is a bit tight for cables round the back, but not really an issue.

The P100 comes highly recommended by some forum regulars. It's slightly larger than the 450D.

The 400C is new, haven't heard much about it yet. Slightly smaller than the 450D.

Nice looking case and good price, and easy to get everything looking really neat inside. This one will not fit a 240mm AIO in the top, only in the front.

All the cases you're looking at would fit 980Tis (most models if not all of them). The P100 at 317mm max GPU length may not fit a few rare monsters, but there are so many 980Ti choices this shouldn't be an issue. The Source 340 has max 334mm if a radiator is fitted at the front. The other two cases no problem (370mm and 430mm).
