Spec me pls ;)

tbh m8 when it came to the psu i was stuck in a big way.. i mean i normally always keep in mind for the future too, Just in case i ever want to crossfire or anything! That's why i went for the corsair 750w yrs ago!
I know the card i'm going with atm need a 500w psu or more! And i do normally prefer to go with a little extra too when i see what a gcard needs! ....Damn i'm stuck again lol!
 
The asus mobo isn't Xfire capable so don't worry about that (PCI lanes aren't in sync). You'll have to pay over £100 for a mobo to do that and in turn you'll need higher than 500/550W to run a 7950 in Xfire adding to the costs further. The single 7950 is no slouch at all, you can sell it off and upgrade as and when you need to.

A single GPU setup even overclocked won't come close to 500W. I'd personally use the Silverstone but if you want the OCZ that's your call. Both will be fine, there is always a little wiggle room when spec'ing parts. Somethings just come down to personal preference/cost

I will probably go with the Silverstone then m8 ;) ..I also did look at the case u have in ur build once b4, But i don't think the graphics card will fit! :(

The card is 29.5 centimetres = 295 millimetres

the case is: 205 millimetres = 20.5 centimetres

I also thought the board was xfire capable :s

this is in the info of the mobo: Quad GPU AMD CrossfireX - a flawless architecture accommodating the power of up to four graphics cards

it's just the only difference i see is the windforce is slightly faster on the core clock and has 1 extra year warranty!

Why would I suggest it if it's worse?

Yes it's clocked faster, has a 3 year uk based warranty and a better cooler....how you missed the 3 fans on it I don't know lol

I'm doing my best to help you but you obviously doubt my advice, I realise it's a lot of money you are going to spend but if you look at the other threads I comment on surely you'd notice i have more than a little experience at doing specs ;)

Prices change here so as you wait deciding, the spec you have becomes "out of date"

I see you started a new thread on the GPUs. Both are fine cards, for the same price I would take the windforce. Either GPU you will most likely want to overclock. If you use MSI afterburner you can set a user defined fan speed profile but we can worry about that when you get the rig built.

The mobo doesnt do Xfire! So you only need a 500 or 550W PSU, getting a 650W PSU is a waste of money.

If you want Xfire then do this......

It's advertising hype. I have already told you that the PCI-Express lanes don't run in sync on that mobo. You need to spend over £100 to get a mobo that does Xfire and SLI properly.

I even spec'd you a build that was Xfire capable, so forgive me if I am losing my patience just a lil ;)

right fair play but there is no need for arrogance and snide commenting! I was just going of what i read.. You was saying that the mobo does NOT support crossfire but in the specs it said it did! So surely even you can understand my point of thinking it does! I didn't know that false advertising was going to be on the specs and i thought that all necessary information should be in the specs!

You would be looking at a 750W power supply anyway if you decided to go xfire.
If you are only looking for a single card system then you really only need a 500w psu.
The Asus motherboard would be fine for a single card system. If you want to xfire then go for the Gigabyte board that Hono specced, and a 750w psu.
