I want to play BF4 1080p @ 60fps @ultra.

Spec me the innards including case please, I will do the outards myself.

I don't need the "best" case just midrange perhaps.

Price is not important, its the performace I need.

Thanks.

It would be good to have a rough idea of budget, because the money no object builds that the guys on here put together are insane :p

Are you overclocking?

Assuming around £1200 (a nice 'sweet spot' in my opinion), a 4770k and GTX 770 would easily do Battlefield 4 at Ultra (I have a 770 and it is fantastic). High quality power supply included for SLI upgrades if you want to go down that route.

I would change that PSU to something with a better OEM as well as the RAM 1600 these days is slow and with the way RAM prices are currently why not get a faster kit for a couple of quid more?

Not really sure how much of a performance increase faster RAM provides, but like you said, it's not much more expensive.

Er.... You sure price is no object when you have hono, idelman, doomedspeed and me about :D

No need to go overboard on it, but I thought performance is a better thing to have in mind than price because then I won't be disappointed.

I don't mind spending more if I can get the performance I need.

Ok as long as you know what you just said in the minds of us big specers, what kind of performance do you need, rendering or pure gaming?

Oh and your going to be on first name terms with your bank manager when I spec in the morning :D

Battlefield 4 will appreciate the money spent on the i7.

By the way, besides coming with a longer warranty and Intel's stock cooler (good as a backup if nothing else), the retail boxed CPUs come with free copies of Final Fantasy XIV and Rome II. The OEM ones (as in a couple of the above specs) do not.
