Hey all, just after some advice on a new prebuilt system (not at all confident about building my own really! I know its probably slightly cheaper, but would rather have a pre built system!)

Its for gaming and home use really, games wise all I play are WoW, CSS, SC2 really, with WoW:Cataclysm on the horizon. I raid in WoW and on my current rig (6 years old!) I go down to 10 fps in 25 mans. Time for an upgrade!

Budget is around £500-£600 max, needs to include the system and allow £20 for postage (N.Ireland) Currentl monitor is 23" running 1650x1080 resolution, using existing keyboard/mouse etc.

I will need an operating system down the line (running windows xp x64 at the moment, horrible os!), but I'll just get the trial of windows 7 64 for now I guess and buy the os after the 90 days.

Had been looking at the "Titan Nero" with an upgrade to Corsair Force 60GB SSD. Will this do what I need or should I consider anything else?

Cheers guys.

Am liking the look of the titan Krypt with the 5830 Gfx card. Is a SSD going to make much difference to anything gaming wise or does it just gain you faster Windows loading times?

SSD improves loading times only, If you want more FPS and to future proof a bit more best to get a better gfx card.

faster loading times in general, including games, for instance level loads can be faster. Normal HD read/write around 100mb, SSD is something like 200-350 depending on SSD.

Also recommend you custom build. Trust me, it's crazy simple. You ever do those shape things as a kid where you plug the right shape into the right sized hole. it's the same thing with building PCs

So if I got the 40GB SSD with the Krypt, I would install the operating system (Windows 7 free trial) and WoW (as its what I play most of) to that drive then?

Thinking the Krypt is what I'll end up going for, just to decide if the SSD is worth it! At the moment I am frustrated with loading times, both with XP x64 and ingame, though thats mainly down to my crappy system I guess!

Ordered Krypt with Phil at OCUK, SSD, 5830 + Windows 7, thanks for the advice guys.

And Phil if you read this, thanks for your help!

Hi all.

Recieved this system today (great service) all is good apart from one problem.

I opted for the upgrade to the 40GB Intel SSD, and Windows is installed on this, but the other hard drive (Seagate Barracuda 500GB) is not showing as being connected. When I started up Windows, it asked me did I want to change to AHCI because one device was not functioning, and when I said yes, it would not boot into Windows. What should this be set at? I have it set to Normal IDE in the bios, other options are Raid and AHCI.

Or is there something else the matter?
