Spec Me Silence

OK, I just need a case, a PSU (only needs to power an i5 set up with one GTX470, don't worry about SLI) and a CPU cooler (s1155).

With a budget of £300 what is the quietest set up I can get?

The PC is for gaming and the 470 is warm, so the cooling needs to not suck too much.

£300 is excessive imho, this is what i would get for a quiet system, the D-14 is the coolest and quietest on the market

The extra 100 might be used to put towards a a better case, I find it hard to believe that the cm690 is the most silent and coolest case on the market, the thing is full of holes.

with a case, it is really down to personal preference, there are the Fractal cases with foam inside to make them almost silent, but airflow is minimised so you need to add fans, which bring up the noise level again

i;d look for some videos on the cases you like to see how much noise gets through
