ive been wanting w/c for a while now and im going to gather the bits i need but need a hand with some stuff.

i like the look of fatter tubing, 7/16 is the norm for tubing i think but is the 3/8 as widely supported for fittings etc

i dont want a bay res, so a pump mounted tube res would be good. the ek X res 100 or 140 would be best i think.

also how can i control the pump speed? i understand the D5 vario is adjustable?
i already have a fan controller.

i can fit 2 2x120mm rads in my case (fractal arc mini) with a little modding

socket is 1155 and i have a 7970 which ill add into loop later.

ive looked at the kits and i dont like them too much so id like custom

any help is appreciated.

3/8, 7/16 and 1/2 ID tubing are all standard sizes and there are plenty of fittings from all major manufacturers for each, just pick the size you like the most, there will be no trouble finding fittings for it.

EK do black plastic tube reservoirs and phobya to a black nickel one. They are both the same price so again, up to preference. The size doesn't matter.

On a D5 vario, you control pump speed with a switch on the back which can be turned using a flat head screwdriver. It goes from 1 to 5.

2 240mm radiators will be the perfect amount to give you LOADS of overclock room for both GPU and CPU. fit the thickest you can fit in your case with a fans (although you will probably find 480mm's of 47mm thick EK rad's more than enough). Phobya do 36mm, 59mm thick ones and EK do 47mm and 64mm thick ones.

The waterblock for the GPU should definitely be the EK one since the XSPC one apparently doesnt actively cool the VRM's. As for CPU block, the EK supremacy-HF has amazing performance but if you dont like the look XSPC do the Raystorm for the same price.

Tubing i would go for XSPC since it is flexible and doesn't stain quickly. I have used Masterklear tubing and found no problems with it but others have had staining (largely depends on the coolant).

Radiator fans should be Scythe gentle typhoons 1850RPM or SP 120's high performance, since you have a fan controller to keep the noise down.
