Hi Guys,

My Dad wants a PC that can fit under the TV and be used mostly for hardcore gaming for my nephew who comes and visits. I guess this means getting someting like those HTPC or M-ITX thingys which I dont really know much about  im more into the mainstream bigger stuff.

Therefore can anyone spec me one of these that is powerful enough to play all the latest games - Dont need O/S, monitor, keyboard or mouse.

Budget is around £500.

Cheers my brothers :D

Cheers for your specs guys (and girls :P )
Its to fit under a TV on a stadnard TV stand (will be replacing a PS3 fat) and cant be any higher than 18cm (so the case above are too high).
The specs themselves seems ok but i forgot I dont need the optical drive also. Is there a smaller case I can use?

Cheers :)

ok, just had a little look around after reading your specs above and the height restrictions etc. and may be able to add a little more to the budget and come up with the below:

ASRock Z77E-ITX
i5-3570K (if I can't get extra budget ill go with the i3 instead)
Kingston HyperX 8GB
Silverstone Sugo SG05 (at just under 18cm should fit snug)
Seagate 500gb
Msi Geforce GTX660 OC Twin Frozr

Couple of things, the case comes with a 450Watt PSU, will that be enough? and secondly, will the GTX660 fit?

if no, any other case suggestions

Cheers

THE Silverstone Sugo SG05 comes with a 80 Plus certified SFX 300W power supply included.

You should BE looking a a decent power supply of at least 500w.

You can get the SG05 with a 450w PSU instead of the older 300w, should do the trick nicely.

Edit: Looks like the 660 would fit, going by the reference card dimensions?

Cheers guys, yes the case I saw comes with the 450w PSU so im glad that will be fine :) Okay then, with the 660 also getting the green light I think thats it then. cheers all very much for your help with this, wasn't at tricky as I thought actually ;)

Cheers again.
