Having eaten through my P6000s in a stupidly short length of time, I was wondering what the forum recommend these days?

Budget about £60 per corner fitted, what you got? ;)

Cheers!

The popular midrange stuff is the Falken FK452 and the Kumho Ecsta KU31. I guess you'll get a price+£10 for fitting from Camskill?

P6000s are a very durable tyre in my experience, they lasted 13k miles on my Civic before getting anywhere near worn, the F1s that replaced them lasted about 6k.

Also, they're kack.

bit worrying how you killed p6000s "quickly"

rolling burn outs are bad for the environment mmmkay

I'd be more worried about my gearbox than anything else :D

The 6000s weren't THAT bad, just seem to have worn quickly, unless I overestimated how much meat I had on when I bought the car :)

I'd also look at the Vredestein Ultracs: http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m4b757s291p0

Has a set of these on my Astra that did a trip to the ring a year and a half ago and they still have life left in them today ( flatmate bought it off me when I got my ctr) Was so impressed by them I fitted a full set to my ctr and they are doing great and easily survived this years ring trip.

The current price of these is also dam good, I paid £75 a corner when I got the same size fitted to my astra!
