I'vr never had to buy brake pads before for a bike (never had a bike long enough ha) but now i've got a couple more track days booked and also a trip to the 'Ring in August so i'm going to change my pads to be safe.

Can you guys recommend some good fast road / occasional track day pads? They're for a 08 ZX-10R.

Thanks :)

EBC sintered Pads. Been using them for years, currently on my 1098s.
Great stopping power, plenty of feel and they do last a good length of time as well.

Should sintered pads live longer than normal? I went EBC pads on my rear and after about 9 months of commuting am down to 2mm. I have no idea whatsoever if this is normal, "oh you must like the rear brake" or "hi" behaviour.

EDIT: Sorry, googled, now it becomes clear!

SBS Sintered brake pads :)

Great brake pads, I rate them over plenty others I have tried, EBC, Standards, Carbon Lorraine, only pads I have not tried are Brembo's, but even then I think you are just paying for the brand... :p

im using el cheapo gold fren pads in 2004 zx10r,there not bad at all, always used ebc sintered before and tbh i cant tell the difference

Cheers, but it says they are for track use..?

Leaning towards the SBS Sintered at the minute me thinks.

You wont regret it... ;)

Track use generally means they take longer to warm up so if you are light on the brakes I personally would not recommend them, if you are a confident braker then I doubt you would have a problem with them, all my opinion of course so take that as you will... :p
