Spec me some Cigars

Right,

Looking at part of a xmas present for my dad and I have been thinking about getting him some cigars in a display box.

Not being a smoker my self and knowing they are a few on here Im looking for a bit of direction on where to buy/whats good.

Price range upto £200.

Whoa, someone was reading my mind! I was after some for New Years. There's some pretty good advice if you search some of the old threads :)
 
Does he smoke? Do you know he likes cigars? £200 would be a waste if he doesn't!

Where are you based?

I would suggest going to a decent cigar shop, and asking them some questions, they tend to be fairly knowledgable. There are several great places in London, and and there is a nice place in Manchester.

My own suggestion, would be that unless your dad is a big smoker avoid the absolutely massive cigars, they look cool but they are a bit much unless you are used go them. If i was you unless you already know what your dad will like, avoid a big display case for christmas, buy a selection of different cigars, and then get him a case for his birthday when you know what he likes.
 
Yeah Scuzi started a huge thread not that long ago.

I was tempted to pick up a box of monte cristos on my way back from through charles de gaulle airport but was hoping to get a better indication of whats good and where to buy online.

Yes he smokes, yes he likes cigars, most years he has bought a big box of Monte Cristos (approx 25) but like I said I'm looking for something a bit different.

I want it to be a display case as its better than just wrapping one or two cigars up etc.

This is just one part of the present so unless I can find something just right it won't happen or I'll pick some up as I go through CDG.
