I'm looking for some good earphones for my iPod that will last a long time.

I've had some Shure E2c's but sold them with my old iPod a couple of years ago. Currently have some Etymotic E6i's, but one of the earphone has stopped working. So I'm looking for something that will not break.

Budget would be up to £100 and they must be in ears.

Many thanks :)

Save another £40-50 and get your self some Westone UM2's - or get some Sony EX90's for £55 - I have both and they are superb... Much much beter than the E2c's and E6i.. which lack real bass.

Cheers, although I couldn't justify spending more than £100 on earphones.

The Sony's seem OK, although I have had Sony's before and the flimsy cable melted in the sun

Has anyone had any experience with the V-Moda Vibe earphones or the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5.

Cheers :)

I have some ex90's & they do sound good but they leak lots of sound so rubbish for using in public. I got some E4c's & they took me a while to get used to them but they are awesome

Just got a pair of Super.fi 5 Extended Bass phones last night. They blew me away!! The sound compared to my Ec2's is phenomenal!!!! And I thought they were good. The super 5's are very crisp and clear, even on tracks at 192kbp's. The duel driver sound is like nothing I've ever heard, really am lost for words.

The only other thing I would say is they are massive!

Got them online for £85 ish:D

I'd look at the Future Sonics Atrio M5s. There is one dealer in the UK that does them for just under £100 and they apparently sound great. Should isolate fairly well as they go rather deep.

They are what I plan to buy when I get my Zune2.

Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro....don't get the EB they already have enough bass and the eb just makes it sloppy over inflated bass!

I personally have the triple.fi 10 but at £230 they're out of your budget :(

Tom.

PS there is a reason pretty much any professional user of in ear monitors use ultimate ears :p
