We've finally used up the free supply of tablets we got with our dishwasher and need to buy some more. To buy the same ones works out to £17 for 72 delivered. They seem to work well enough, with no food residue left on the pots/plates etc.

What tablet would you recommend for a dishwasher? Are there some that are better than others? We use salt and rinse-aid anyway. Many thanks :)

Finish Classic from the sub pound shops works out 10p - 7.5 per tablet - I think they were rated high by WHICH a year or so back.

Again, any.

They're all far stronger than they need to be anyway. Half a tablet is usually more than enough for normal cleaning.

Aldi ones here, again I think they were a which best buy and do the job well. Get the Finish powerball ones if they are on special but have made some of my good beer glasses go cloudy over time :(

Normal fairy ones are meant to be good but I, like everyone else, only buy whatever is on offer in the supermarket...

Usually get these when they are on special offer in asda but needed some the other week and they where at ludicrous price so ended up with asda 5 in 1 jobbies 45 for £3.50 and carnt tell the difference

I have tried pretty much all of the big brands and I can't say there is much difference in any of them.

The critical thing when it comes to dishwasher performance is the spray arms moving, 9/10 cleaning issues are down the this.

Avoid the dissolvable wrapper ones. If there is any dampness around the tablet storage compartment, they can stick and remain inside resulting in a poor wash.

Can be a pain, unless you take the time to rip the little buggers open ;)
