Hey guys. My case has about 5 different brands/speeds of fans and its really annoying me. Spec me some 120mm fans that are the quietest with most airflow.

cheers

Rob.

Noctuas always seem to be pretty popular, but are pretty expensive if your going to be buying 5 of them. 1200RPM, 17dBA, 48CFM.

Xilence also have some pretty good fans which I like, a lot cheaper too. 1400RPM, 21.dBA, 68CFM

Theres also Yate Loons which are pretty cheap too and seem quite popular... plus they come with LED's if you want to light the case up a bit

I have a Xilence 120mm and whilst I can vouch for it being silent it doesnt seem like its pushing 68CFM. Also got a scythe, its quiet but remains powerful, beleive its the Jyuni 1200rpm

Looking at getting some of these too after reading reviews on SPCR (not sure if they're allowed to be mentioned???). Anyway, looking for as quiet a system as possible now that I'm approaching middle age :o

The 1200 RPM SlipStreams seem to be the sweet spot for noise v airflow, and undervolt well apparently.

Edit: Oooh @ my Satanic post count >:-D

I use 1200 Slipstreams as intakes however they are not very good for putting on a heatsink or radiator as they lose a lot of CFM and have pretty bad pressure, as a rule have faster, more CFM fans as intakes and slower fans as exhausts.

don't forget datawrite a lot of manufacturers inflate their CFM figures and use different methods to measure them. Don't believe those.
