Hi Guys

I'm in a rush to edit a photo, basically I need to crop it and rotate it. Whilst paint will crop it won't rotate to the angle of my choice, it's limited to 90°, 180° etc.

Can anyone recommend a piece of freeware that will do the job?

Any help much appreciated.
 
For what you want to do GIMP is way over the top. Get IrfanView, great little program for just this sort of job :)

lol... I don't find the UI that bad, but I can't argue with you about the name.

I'm absolutely convinced it would be found on many, many more computers than it is, if only it had been called something more appealing.
 
I like Paint.Net because I've worked with Photoshop since it was a baby and Paint.Net looks very similar.
In fact my boss was going to buy Photoshop for me until somebody on here suggested Paint.Net and now I have no need for Photoshop (for what I need to do daily).
I tried GIMP but it's all over the place but there are plugins to make it look like Photoshop.
I have tried loads of them but got nowhere.
Anybody want to recommend GIMP with a Photoshop layout and a step by step guide?

Exactly, who in their right mind would consider rolling out something called "The Gimp" in a corporate environment. It's crazy.
