Hey guys, iv recently been a little tierd of my games and none of them really quite hit the spot at the moment and im not sure whats good. Kinda that bad time of year where nothing interesting comes out as its not quite close enough to christmas yet!

I enjoy most types of games, except racing games i would say. Though i did very much enjoy dirt 2 and 3! Usually though i have little love for them.

Id prefer something a little more up to date, FPS perhaps but not necessarily and with a good story that keeps me wanting to play through to the end.

Some games iv recently played and enjoyed are:
dirt3
mafia2
gta4 TBoGT
Guild Wars (still playing to fill my HoM when i can be arsed)
ArmA2
Dawn of war 2
shogun2
napoleonTW
Freelancer
witcher2

IV tried finding a space game thats like freelancer and such but it appears until infinity is out i wont be able to fill that hole.

Im just not sure what to go for right now. Oh i own BC2 and all the cod games and tbh despite being ok for an hours bash around with some mates i find them a bit tedious. My LONG arma2 hours and playing in a realism unit has also made me look differently at modern military games. IE they are so far fetched i strugle to play without going "well thats just...retarded" every 5 minutes.

So whats out there to help?

oh also played left for dead and stuff. infact ill post my steam game list so you know what not to reccomend.

If you like RTS or really want TTY something new go for a game from the moba genre like HoN or LoL, both online only really and have some ***** in the community but great games that I have found fresh and eat time like crazy.

Fallout is an rpg fps it could be said. (3 or New Vegas)

Maybe you need to take a break from big games for a little while. Why not try out a few indie games. I'd recommend:

Shatter - (Great fun for short blasts and brilliant soundtrack and visuals)
Braid - (Really nice atmosphere and builds up difficulty level nicely)
Trine - (Good fun romp with toung in cheek storylines)

These can all be had fairly cheaply and are great fun. Play a few games like this and then move swiftly into Mass Effect 1 & 2 and you're good to go. :)
