Hi,

I have a 7950 on its way, along with a 2600k.. Coming from an aging Q6600 and 5770 x-fired, I've not been keeping an eye on good titles for the last couple of yrs.

I know I'm going to need BF3, and for me personally COD MW3... But what else should I be looking out for?

I don't have too much patience, so no mmo's or anything like that.. What have been considered the MUST HAVE titles from the last couple of yrs ?

Shooters you're already covered

If you like some RPG then Skyrim possibly mass effect trilogy

Strategy starcraft2, shogun2, civ5

Portal 2

Get a good RPG on there like Fallout 3/ New Vegas or Skyrim. Apply some 'graphical' improvement mods (there's loads for RPG games) and enjoy months of awesome gameplay.

I wouldn't bother getting BF3 from Origin since it's still a rip off. Try getting the disk version, it's cheaper and quicker to install.

What you mean I'll need a CD ? Really ? Hopefully not to run the game mind ?

No you can download it. You can buy the CD key from internet shops. The disc might be cheaper in places. You need Origin to play it, no cd required.

Whats the best way to get BF3? I see its not on Steam ?

Its $40 (£25) on Amazon.com digital downloads service. Do the following

Google a hotel in Newyork - copy its address and phone number. Create an account on Amazon.com with those address details. When you buy you will get a game code - pop that in Origin. By picking an address in Newyork you avoid state tax. Dependant on your bank you will get charged a exchange rate fee, RBS charges me 75p

lol, I'm in the States already... I don't need to do any of that nonsense. I have Amazon accounts both in the UK and US. But thanks.

Don't like the idea of this Origin being needed. But if it is what it is, then so be it...
