Hi ,
My mate is after some games that me and him can play togethor. Multiplayer is a must. Any genre we don't mind :) .
His rig :
Pentium 4
1 Gig ram
ATI X300.
Windows XP
 
Counterstrike source?
Maaaaaybe TF2 at a stretch?

Could go oldschool with CS 1.6, still has an excellent playerbase.
 
Some of my favs on my old system (very similar):

COD 1or2
Rome:TW at low settings
Tribes 2
Warcraft 2 (maybe 3)
C&C, red alert etc
Empire Earth, Age of Empires etc
Z-Steel Soldiers (loved it!)
Diablo/Diablo 2

If I think of any more I'll post later...
 
Some games that you could play:

-C&C Series. Up to C&C3 should run I think on there...
-Counterstrike: Source, Left 4 Dead (Source engine scales well so any source games should run, albeit on low settings in some cases)
-Call of Duty 1-4.
-Quake3 or Quake4.
-Grand Theft Auto 1+2.

Just some to get you started really. :)
